Daria’s story is rooted in resilience and responsibility.

His mother’s family fled Iran during the revolution and rebuilt their lives in America so the next generation could grow up with safety and opportunity. His father, born and raised in a working-class Colorado community, taught him humility, hard work, and a deep commitment to others. Together, those values shaped a two-decade career built on bringing people together, solving complex problems, and delivering results in high-stakes environments where judgment and accountability mattered.

Across his career and community work, Daria has earned a reputation for steady leadership, sound judgment, and an ability to deliver results without theatrics.

Rooted in Family and Community

When Daria and his wife moved to Poulsbo, life shifted dramatically. With a newborn and a toddler, he stepped back from corporate work to support his wife’s small business, raise their children, and build a life rooted in community.

As a full-time dad, he experienced firsthand the pressures families navigate every day - childcare, healthcare, ferries, housing, schools, and the constant balancing act between time and responsibility. Those lived experiences deepened his commitment to the issues that shape our quality of life across Kitsap.

A believer in grassroots political action, Daria is an elected Precinct Committee Officer. He serves on the executive boards of the 23rd Legislative District Democrats and Kitsap County Democrats. The Legislative District later elected him as State Committeeman, recognizing his steady judgment and collaborative approach. Within his first year in that role, State Party leadership selected Daria as one of just ten members statewide - out of more than 200 - to help redraft the Democratic Party’s 2026 platform. He also serves on regional advisory bodies focused on education, transportation, and school facilities.

When he’s not spending time with his kids or volunteering in the community, you can usually find Daria tending the family’s small farm - wrangling alpacas, feeding pigs, or chasing whichever animal has decided the fence is optional that day. The barnyard keeps him grounded, humble, and connected to the rhythms of real Kitsap life.

Daria is running for State Representative because too many families feel squeezed, unheard, and uncertain about the future. Everyday life is getting harder, and leadership hasn’t kept up. Around kitchen tables across Kitsap, he hears the same concerns again and again - housing, healthcare, ferries, schools, childcare - and the challenge of making everyday life work.

He is raising his children here and is invested in Kitsap’s future as a neighbor, not a career politician. He believes public service should be grounded in integrity, humility, and steady, solutions-focused leadership.

Daria is running to bring professionalism, common sense, and calm leadership back to Olympia - and to put livability first, for families, for workers, and for our future.

Let’s make life livable!
